Experience

Kristen is a YMCA professional in association communications and financial development with YMCA of the USA (financial development/association resources) and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta.

For eight years, she worked as a Y-USA partner in marketing and communications, supporting local YMCAs with their development, public relations, marketing, and communications plans and challenges.

As a communication consultant, she engages donors, volunteers, members, staff, and partners in fundraising campaigns, creates signature events, handles media relations and crisis communications, and develops strategic communications with collateral including the case for support, philanthropy reports, online annual reports, impact reports, videos, and other pieces.

Kristen is the general sessions committee chair for NAYDO, served on NAYDO Council, and was the 2015 Conference Co-Chair in Atlanta. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive, member of AFP, and treasurer of the Women's Congressional Golf Association.  She and her husband live in Alexandria, Virginia.

In her NAYDO role she:

• Serves NAYDO members related to education, resources, and member service questions
• Manages education offerings including webinars, online resources, regional training events, and more
• Oversees communications including a comprehensive communications calendar, newsletters,
  social media, and website
